A quick side-bar on updating an Amiga 500

So while I’m waiting on some new chips for the C64 short-board I’m attempting to fix, I though I would do some quick work on the Amiga 500 I recently aquired.

The good news is that now I have a video cable for it the machine boots OK and reads from floppy using the origional drive without any apparent issues.

The first upgrade was to swap the origional drive out with a Gotek drive which went well and seems to work without any issue, but I know need to sit down with the Flash Floppy software and get to grips with that to get the drive configured to use the software I want to try with it.

Paradroid has always been one of my all time fravorite games to play, so I quickly tried to see if that loaded and ran OK from the Gotek and it did, so that will be something to look forward to working through at some time in the future,
